Parishioners are welcome to contribute to a spiritual bouquet for the First Communicants of our parish. Visit the parish anytime between now and Saturday, June 10 to sign one or all of the spiritual bouquet cards for our First Communicants, Aberdeen, Ambrose, Caya, Levin, Maori, and Melissa and promise to say a prayer for them.
A spiritual bouquet is a special kind of prayer offering that you can make for someone to show your love, support, and spiritual care for them. It’s like giving them a bouquet of flowers, but instead of physical flowers, you give them a collection of prayers and spiritual intentions. It’s a meaningful gift that can provide spiritual support and blessings. As a parish, let’s shower the First Communicants in prayer as they receive the Sacrament of Holy Communion this coming Sunday (June 11th) and as they continue their journey in the faith. It’s simple and everyone is invited to contribute prayers and intentions. The spiritual bouquets will be presented to the First Communicants after Mass.
How it works:
Choose your prayers: Select specific prayers or devotions that you want to offer for the First Communicants. It could be traditional prayers like the Our Father, Hail Mary, Memorare, Rosary, or a personal prayer that you feel connected to.
Write them down: Write down the prayers and intentions on one or all of the Spiritual Bouquet cards on this table and sign your name if you’d like.
Pray for the First Communicants: Pray the selected prayers and intentions for the First Communicants.
Thank you for taking the time to pray for our parish’s First Communicants. Please join the celebration on Sunday, June 11th. There will be cake in the hall to follow.
